  • Double Exposure & Image Blending Mode - refers to merging multiple images
    • Using the Tilt-Shift Effect

    • Create fake reflection

    • Experiment with simple portraits and details textured

    • Convert your results to Black & White

    • Work with silhouette

    • Pick two random photo

    • Make simple objects look fascinating

    • Use Shadow

Week 7: Double Exposure

PRACTICAL

Week 7: Project 2A - Exercises (Double Exposure)

Exercise 1: 

  • For Exercise 1, we are required to do double exposure on the black and white portrait of this woman shown below with the Birds, Forest and Clouds that are provided in Adobe Photoshop.
    • Step 1: We are required to Select and Mask the black and white woman portrait 
    • Step 2: Then, create a Clipping Mask and add Mask Layer
    • Step 3: After that, we are required to use the Brush Tool to Unmask her face
    • Step 4: Change the Blending Mode from Normal to Darken / Multiply to remove the white background of the Birds image
    • Step 5: Lastly, add Gradient Map and adjust the Opacity

Exercise 2 (My Picture): 
  • For Exercise 2, we are required to do double exposure on my own picture with the elements I chosen which are the Birds, Forest, Clouds and Butterflies that are provided in Adobe Photoshop.
    • Step 1: We are required to Select and Mask my own portrait 
    • Step 2: Then, create a Clipping Mask and add Mask Layer
    • Step 3: After that, we are required to use the Brush Tool to Unmask my face
    • Step 4: Change the Blending Mode from Normal to Darken / Multiply to remove the white background of the Birds image
    • Step 5: Lastly, add Gradient Map and adjust the Opacity
